About us
The board of the foundation consists of Prof. Thijs Merkx and Prof. Paul Stoelinga. The members of de advisory board are Dr. Albert Wittkampf and Dr. Rob Mooren. The liaisons in Tanzania are Dr. Elison Simon and Dr. Kanankira.
All activities of members of the foundation are done on a voluntary basis. One or more members of the board visit the locations in Tanzania on average once a year, at their personal expenses. During these visits they support the local Oral- and Maxillofacial surgeons and determine what additional support is needed to improve the treatment for the patients. In addition, the surgical procedure, as introduced in 2001 by Dr. Elison Simon, is evaluated on a regular basis.
